Wisconsin: "Swiss Valley Farm" - net familiebedrijf voor ca. 350 melkkoeien

Dit melkveebedrijf is gelegen in de westzijde van de staat Wisconsin. De vraagprijs voor het onroerend goed (grond en gebouwen) is $ 2.500.000

Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of the Mississippi River area of western Wisconsin, this 350-cow dairy, pleasantly named as "SunRay Dairy" of Mindoro, WI, is located about 30 miles north of Lacrosse, WI, or about 150 miles southeast of Minneapolis, MN. There is a Germania Double 8 parallel parlor, expandable to a double 12, with stainless steel stalls. There is a clean office area with a separate bathroom with shower, and a separate well-organized milking equipment utility room. The milking cow holding area has open walls for great summer ventilation on the way into the parlor, and is conveniently sloped for easy drainage and for facing the cows toward the parlor. The milk bulk tank has a 2,000-gallon capacity. There are 4 main milking pens (two outer barns) with 67 stalls per pen. The bedding is sand, which is sourced from the farms' own acreage. There are another 67 stalls in special needs, between 4 pens; and then three "box stall" type pens about 12' x 24'. Therefore that makes a total of 335 stalls, plus the box stall pens. The youngstock are started in calf hutches, and moved in to super hutches and a line of 8 open front pens with outdoor lots and mangers. In the open feed storage area, there are 2 commodity sheds, 2 hay sheds, and drive-over feed piles. There are two separate manure lagoons, with 2-million total gallon capacity. There is also a truck scale on the farm. There are a total of 181+/- acres included in the sale of the farm, of which about 123 acres are tillable, along with an additional 170 acres of cropland currently being leased. There are two homes on the farm. The clean and neat main home is located conveniently directly across the road from the dairy and has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a small barn near the main home that was built in the early 1900's, with roof and mow floor in excellent shape, and room below for animal housing. The second home is located half a mile east of the farm, and has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The dairy is currently milking a registered herd of 215 Jerseys with an excellent combination of milk and components, low cell count; and a full line of replacement calves and heifers.
